What is the FIRST® Dean’s List Award?

The Dean’s List Award is sponsored by the Kamen family and recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication of nominated 10th and 11th grade students on FIRST Tech Challenge teams. There are three (3) “categories” of FIRST Dean’s List Award students:

1. FIRST Dean’s List Semi-finalists – each team is able to nominate two students (in either 10th or 11th grade) as Semi-Finalists who will be interviewed at official qualifiers.
2. FIRST Dean’s List Finalists – Ohio will announce our region’s three Dean’s List Finalists at our Championship.
3. FIRST Dean’s List Winners – Ten FIRST Tech Challenge students selected from the global FIRST Dean’s List Finalists are announced at FIRST Championship.

The students who earn FIRST Dean’s List Award status as a Semi-finalists, Finalist, or Winner, are great examples of student leaders, FIRST advocates, and accomplished team members.

Process for Ohio Dean's List Interviews for the 2023-2024 CENTERSTAGE Season

For the 2023-2024 CENTERSTAGE Season, Ohio FTC will be conducting all Dean's List interviews at a Remote Interview Only Event that will take place over one weekend. More information regarding specifics of the event will be shared closer to the event date.
