Vision

Become the premier program employing students from within the pipeline to enhance the nation's future STEM workforce.

The LEGACY program is three phases designed for students from age 11 to completion of their bachelor's degree. LEGACY is intended to introduce STEM at a young age, continue growing students' interest in STEM, and eventually hire these students into a STEM-driven Air Force career.

Phase 1: Craftsman (Age 11-15)

This is a free, STEM-inspired, hands-on camp for 11-15 year old students. more info

Phase 2: Junior Apprentice (Age 16+)

This phase is for high school students 16 years and older. Students work with mentors in Air Force facilities. In this phase, future investments are established and developed for STEM-discipline higher education. more info

Phase 3: Apprentice (College)

This phase connects with other college programs leveraged through the Air Force, facilitating a smooth transition into the workforce. more info

 

The Education Outreach office reserves the right to cancel events due to surges in COVID-19 cases or changes in or elevation of health protection conditions - HPCONs. We will attempt to give as much notice as possible if a cancelation occurs. As a Wright-Patterson AFB organization, we must adhere to DoD, DAF, and/or WPAFB guidelines.
