STARBASE

DoD STARBASE is a unique and innovative Department of Defense STEM awareness and outreach activity that creates a bridge between DoD and civilian communities while providing local students access to DoD’s wealth of expertise in STEM outreach and career fields.

DoD STARBASE is a K-12 STEM and outreach activity focused primarily on 5th graders that provides 25 hours of engaging STEM instruction. DoD STARBASE also includes an Advanced after-school element for middle school students to motivate them to explore STEM curriculum as part of their education.

DoD STARBASE provides an inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum with interactive lessons and activities utilizing problem solving, teamwork skills, and thought analysis.

The STEM Outreach Office reserves the right to cancel events due to surges in COVID-19 cases or changes in or elevation of health protection conditions - HPCONs. We will attempt to give as much notice as possible if a cancelation occurs. As a Wright-Patterson AFB organization, we must adhere to DoD, DAF, and/or WPAFB guidelines.
