FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) is a Varsity Sport for the Mind. It is an international high school robotics competition. Each year under strict rules and limited resources teams of high school students and mentors from around the world have just six week to build and program a robot. It weighs up to 150 lbs (depending on the game and including the battery) and performs challenging tasks against a field of competitors. These teams must also raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and perform community outreach. In addition to learning valuable STEM and life skills, participants are eligible to apply for $80+ million in college scholarships. It is truly a sport where every person can go pro.

“FIRST is a job to big, a time to short, a budget to small, and a team too large, with absolutely hard unforgiving deadlines. So it is a fantastic way to learn product development in a powerful package.” Woody Flowers
No one tells – or shows - the FIRST story better than FIRST teams! We are raising the bar in showcasing FIRST, and we’re inviting WOW FIRST teams to be an active part of our regions outreach efforts, gain some recognition for your teams and schools, and hone student marketing and presentation skills in the process
Congratulations to 2018’s WOW Showcase teams!
