Rolling Things

The Rolling Things Challenge allows students the opportunity to explore how changing ramp height and vehicle weight affect the momentum of toy cars. Concepts covered in this unit include velocity, gravity, potential and kinetic energy, friction, momentum, mass and acceleration.   This activity could also be used to introduce students to a simplified version of the Engineering Design Process.
